Reginald Rabbit loved to sail
He sailed both night and day,
He sailed around the harbor town
He sailed around the bay.

Reginald Rabbit loved to sail
In his schooner, Tara Two,
With all his friends and relatives
A ‘serving as the crew:

Uncle Morley took the Main
Along with Auntie Roo,
And cousin Cal who’d brought a pal
Squeezed in between the two.

At the helm, was Brother Bruce
Along with his Dad, McGee,
And four young nieces from the town
Who sang in harmony.

Up in the bow sat Auntie Kate
With nephew Fred on a her knee,
Who wore a tiny sailor’s cap
His first time out to sea.

Everybody brought a friend
And the friends they brought one too,
And the desks were hot and crowded
Aboard the Tara Two:

There were rabbits in the rigging
And rabbits at the rail,
And rabbits tug-a-tugging
On every piece of sail.

Rabbits on the poop deck
Rabbits in the bow,

Rabbits sitting down below
Chewing on the chow…
